Shaping the Next Generation of Thoughtful, Skilled Clinicians
Supervision and training for provisionally licensed therapists
At Waypoint Psychological Services, we believe that excellent therapy begins with excellent training. That’s why we offer a robust, hands-on supervision program for provisionally licensed clinicians—those who have completed their graduate degrees and are actively working toward full licensure. If you’re looking for a training environment that’s both rigorous and relational, you’re in the right place.
A Clinical Teaching Practice
Waypoint operates with the heart of a teaching hospital: our leadership team is made up of seasoned supervisors who are deeply invested in developing therapists who are not only clinically sound but curious, humble, and client-centered.
Our supervision model includes:
-
Weekly individual and group supervision sessions
-
Direct oversight from licensed, doctorate-level clinicians
-
Opportunities for peer consultation and team learning
-
Exposure to diverse modalities including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, and trauma-informed care
-
Real-time support for both clinical challenges and professional growth

Why Join Waypoint as a Provisionally Licensed Clinician?

In-Person Mentorship
Our physical office space isn’t just for client sessions—it’s a space for mentorship, connection, and spontaneous hallway consults that deepen your clinical skills.

Diversity-Informed Supervision
We believe identity matters—in our clients and in our clinicians. Supervision includes a focus on cultural humility, clinical responsiveness, and navigating intersectionality in practice.

Community-Oriented Culture
You won’t be left to “figure it out.” Our team is collaborative, supportive, and committed to your long-term growth.

Ethical Excellence
We don’t cut corners. We train you to practice with integrity, attunement, and clinical precision—without sacrificing your humanity.

We welcome applications from post-graduate, provisionally licensed therapists (LMSW, MHC-LP, LAC, MSW etc.) who are:

Eager to grow in a high-accountability, high-support setting
-
Aligned with trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and integrative approaches
